Cortège will be available online and in stores on August 28, 2020!! This new CD with pianist Jasmin Arakawa will feature works by Claude Debussy, Francis Poulenc, Lili Boulanger, and Nicolas Bacri.

Véronique Mathieu’s performance on her new CD ARGOT is described as "stunning with amazing technique both for the rapid passage work and for the unique sound quality used to add expression to some of the more avant-garde aspects of the piece."

Véronique Mathieu is now teaching at the University of Saskatchewan as Associate Professor of Violin, and is the first holder of the prestigious David L. Kaplan Chair in Music.

The 2019-20 season brings many exciting collaborations with Canadian composers! Odawa First Nations composer Barbara Croall is writing new solo work for Véronique’s performance during the 21C New Music Festival. Adam Scime is writing a concerto that will be premiered with Esprit Orchestra in December. Alain Perron will be composing a violin work this coming year, and Véronique will premiere 4 Seasons by Alice Ho with pianist Stephanie Chua in January 2020!

ARGOT is now available!!

Released in July 2017, ARGOT focuses on compositions by three titans of twentieth century European modernism: Franco Donatoni, Pierre Boulez, and Witold Lutosławski. Three works by Polish master Witold Lutosławski add piano to the mix, and deliver a much more classical personality to the album’s offerings. These works show a different side of European modernism, one based in clear extra-musical allusions and references to centuries-old musical concepts.
